Lex’s Cafe on the Hove End of Brighton Beach

Lex's Cafe Window selling Ice Cream Brighton Beach

The beautiful Lex’s Café is by far one of my favourite cafes along Brighton beach. Because this cafe is positioned further away from the more bustling touristy part of Brighton city coast. (This may be part of its charm) And it is further west in a more tranquil part of the Brighton city shoreline.

Not to mention the cafe’s lovely owners Lex and her husband Alan, and their sweet little dog called Lucky.

Brighton Beach Map – Best Cafes and so much more

I have created a super helpful bespoke Google map for all the essentials you need, not only when on Brighton beach, but when organising a great day trip to Brighton beach as well. Set yourself up for a stress-free day trip and save some pennies in the process.

Lex’s Cafe by Brighton Beach

And yes, it is as wonderful as it sounds, which is why the café has become a staple more for locals than visitors. Mainly because few visitors ever venture this far along the Brighton coast to reach this cafe.
Well, maybe they do if they’re on one of my Jolly Explorer bike tours where we take a break here at Lex’s cafe and enjoy an ice cream, beverage, or snake halfway through our tour.

After 90 minutes of gentle cycling, a hot drink or cold beer, while sitting in the fresh air taking in the sun, sea and pebbled beach of Brighton’s Hove end is a welcoming and refreshing break.

Food

When it comes to food, Lex’s café knows how to do it right. Lex and her staff offer good honest food and drink with a smile at a reasonable price. So, it is not surprising that they have received raving reviews from their customers on Tripadvisor for their food quality and service.

The Lex Cafe is a stand-alone structure along the far Hove end of the promenade, just after the King Alfred Swimming complex. But it is magically from this modest-sized building they manage to produce promptly even when busy, consistently delicious food, time and time again.

They seem to serve it all, from breakfast dishes to fish and chips to snacks and a wide selection of ice creams. You will find something to fill your appetite, whether you are famished or just peckish.

There are also great options for children on the menu. So if you are travelling as a family, Lex’s cafe is a great stop to rest and refresh. And all of the food is freshly cooked in-house, and my suggestion would be to get one of their delicious Bacon baps. I like them as they are delicious and served relatively quickly. But my customers on my bike tours rave about the fish and chips.

And a fascinating fact is the seagulls seem to be a lot more passive in Hove end as they are between the piers in central Brighton, where they are quite the menace.

So at Lexis Cafe, You Literally can have your Fish and Chips and eat it

Drink

The warm service and smiles, and hot coffee come as standard at Lex’s Cafe.

But did you know they also have a bar offering ice-cold beer from Heineken to Bitta Moretti and a full bar of spirits, wines and prosecco, But their favourite during the summer months is their refreshing jugs of Pimms? Those are very popular indeed.

So to sum up Lex’s cafe on Brighton beach. We have…

Sun, sea and smiles while sitting on the more secluded part of Brighton beach while sipping ice-cold Pimms.

What more can you ask for from a cafe.

Thankyou Lex and Alan,
