The Hove Lawns Café, much as its name suggests, belonged historically to the town of Hove. After merging the two seaside resorts, Brighton and Hove, into one city, the area became unified.

Now we can officially say that the Hove Lawns Café is located on Brighton Beach. This small and dainty café is the perfect stop for a coffee, a snack, or even breakfast or lunch by the beach.

Brighton Beach Map – Best Cafes & More

I have created a super helpful bespoke Google map for all the essentials you need, not only when on Brighton beach, but when organising a great day trip to Brighton beach as well. Set yourself up for a stress-free day trip and save some pennies in the process.

The Hove Lawns Cafe by Brighton Beach

While there may be other cafes located on Brighton beach, The Hove Lawns Café differs from those as it is situated in the middle of Hove Lawns. Hove Lawns is a 1.4-mile-long green space located right alongside the beach for those unfamiliar with the Brighton Beach area.
This space is perfect for people who want to enjoy the seaside but do not necessarily want to sit on the pebble beach. Likewise, The Hove Lawns Café is also great for those who want to sit on the lawn but don’t want to sit on the grass.

This esplanade, otherwise known as Hove Poninade, is also a very popular area for those who want to walk or stroll along the coastline. The grass and the general lack of elevation make this a delightful walk. The seafront is also stunning during sunrise or sunset, so if you are heading in the area, we could not recommend taking a walk down Hove Lawns during those hours enough.

Hove Lawns also has several tennis courts and bowling greens available to the public for usage on a pay-to-play basis for those looking for a little something extra. If you and your friends and family are sports fans, this can be a great opportunity you should not pass on.

Apart from being so close to the seafront, the Hove Lawns, and the sports courts, the Hove Lawn Café is also relatively easily accessible for people with mobility disabilities.

The Café is located close to a parking lot, which means that one can easily park there and make their way to the Café. It is also located near public toilets, making it an excellent spot for those who want to make a stop during their walk along with the Hove Lawns.

Food and Drink

In terms of food and drinks, the menu at the Hove Lawns Café is quite simple, and one could say that it has the typical options that one expects to find in a coffee shop.
From coffee to tea, you should be able to sit down and enjoy a cold or hot beverage right by Brighton Beach. It also has a selection of sandwiches, fish and chips, nuggets, and egg dishes that you can choose from.
The menu is welcoming after a long walk. The food is cooked to perfection and all reasonably priced for its location. Hove Lawns Cafe is very popular for its ice creams, particularly in the summer months, as it is well priced and with many choices of flavours.
The Hove Lawns Cafe is a welcoming oasis in the middle of Hove Promenade and Hove lawns, conveniently placed by pubic towels. It is also near an open shower to rinse off if you are coming straight out of the sea.
All in all, an excellent cheeky little stop if you are playing on the lawns, jogging, dog walking, or just promenading and showing off your latest bling.
