While Brighton beach has a lot to offer during the daytime, the nightlife there should not be ignored. For avid fans of live music and club nights, there is one place that stands out for those who visit Brighton, and that place is the Concorde2 located on Madeira Drive, parallel to Brighton beach

The Concorde2 is considered one of the best and leading live music venues and nightclubs in the UK. It has won multiple awards and was even described as the ‘Perfect venue’ by Dave Grohl when he played there in 2008.

Brief History of the Concorde 2

For many years the Concorde has been one of the most memorable live music venues in Brighton, and it has hosted a diverse number of acts over the decades.

The music stage and club are built within a Victorian building conversion, which had originally been used as tea rooms in the 1800s. Since then, the space has been made into a notorious biker’s café in the 1960s, and a decade later, it became an amusement arcade.

The Concorde2 which is currently occupying the space does not resemble a tea house, a café, or an amusement arcade, instead, in 2000 it was made into a music venue and has remained one ever since.

I have created a super helpful bespoke Google map for all the essentials you need, not only when on Brighton beach, but when organising a great day trip to Brighton beach as well. Set yourself up for a stress-free day trip and save some pennies in the process.

Musical Venue, Sound Systems, and Lighting.

The Concorde2 offers musicians some of the best sound systems in the world, and it is considered the best live music venue in the south. The space has state-of-the-art L-Acoustics sound and lighting systems and has a capacity of 600 people.

Many of the world’s greatest bands have chosen to make one of their tours stops at the Concorde2 and to play by Brighton beach.

What makes this live venue so unique is the characteristic atmosphere that they have managed to create within it. Shows at the Concorde tend to be energetic and at the same time, intimate. Which is an aspect that many touring musicians have credited the space for.

They often host themed parties or just club nights, so whether you are a drum N bass, house, or reggae and electro fan you can expect to find a great event that satisfies your tastes at the Concorde.

As the Concord tends to be a very popular venue it is always recommended that you purchase your tickets ahead of time to avoid disappointment. All ticket purchases are collected at the door, and once inside the venue, you are guaranteed a great night.
