The Beach Hut Cafe sells coffee, cheese toasties, freshly cooked doughnuts and much more at a very reasonable price. It is also one of the best-located cafes along Brighton seafront, overlooking the beach, sea and Palace pier.
The Beach Hut Café is one of the oldest cafés on Brighton beach. Currently, it has been managed by the same owners for over 15 years, and they have created within their little open-air cafe a warm and welcoming atmosphere that will fill you with the most positive energy for the day to come.

The cafe is very nicely situated, being right opposite the traffic crossing south of East Street. The Beach Hut Cafe provides the first opportunity for a coffee when arriving at Brighton beach from the historical Lanes.
With only outdoor seating, The Beach Hut cafe caters for all seasons, with large parasols to keep you shaded from the August sun. And outdoor heaters to fight off the frostbite during your coffee breaks from Brighton beachfront walks in the snow. It does happen.

This makes The Beach hut cafe the perfect place to stop for those of you that have just come off the train, walked through the North Laine, then the Lanes. Then fancy a little break and light snack before heading fully charged onto Brighton pier for a morning or afternoon of amusements.
Food and Drink
The Beach Hut Café has a curated list of foods that they offer. While the selection is not very big, everything on their menu is cooked well and with love.
I drink here often on my morning walks, and I must say for the location and view, and let’s be honest, that’s what you pay through the nose for, especially in Brighton. But Here, a toasted cheese sandwich and coffee for around £5 while overlooking the beach, sea and pier are, in my mind, one of the best deals you will find anywhere along Brighton beach.
Although the owners do pride themselves on the quality of the food and drink they offer, all in all, it’s just good honest food at a reasonable price.
Whether you are visiting for morning coffee or afternoon tea, treat yourself to one of their freshly made hot sweet doughnuts. You can’t come to the seaside and not have a freshly made doughnut. The owners are also passionate about coffee, and they do make deliciously strong coffee.
Overall, the quality of the food and drink available at the Beach Hut makes it the perfect place for a reasonably cheap breakfast at the base of Brighton beach. All in all, due to its prominent position, the Brighton Beach Hut cafe can’t be missed as you head onto the beach in Brighton, and nor should it be.
